The game confirmed that starting in August, it will no longer be playable on Xbox One. This type of action is probably more than justified; 24 Entertainment would not do this unless it wasn’t necessary.

Having launched almost three years ago, this battle royale game has a well-established community that enjoys all the content it offers. On the other hand, in recent months, Naraka: Bladepoint has suffered considerable player losses due to internal issues the game is experiencing regarding balance and the overall climate among players. Unfortunately, the studio confirms more negative news for this game.

24 Entertainment, the developer of this title, confirmed on its official page that it will no longer support one of the Microsoft platforms on which it is available. It seems the strategy of launching the game on this console was not as effective as the studio expected; hence, they decided to end support for Xbox One. Recall that the game was not available for previous generation platforms except for this console, which will now no longer have support.

Xbox One Is Becoming Increasingly Marginalized

This Microsoft console, which was not the success the company expected, continues to lose games and overall support from various major studios. Despite statistics showing a significant number of players still using previous generation consoles, this platform’s player count falls significantly short of that of the PS4, for instance. Therefore, it is neither a parameter nor a necessity for studios to continue developing games for it.

Starting August 28th, the Xbox One console will no longer have support for Naraka: Bladepoint. The studio will focus its resources on improving the game’s content and trying to bring back players who left this popular battle royale.

Despite facing intense competition during its launch, the game’s unique mechanics, which blend martial arts and spectacular movements, helped it establish its own community. This title from 24 Entertainment is currently a limited-time event in collaboration with the famous Japanese mecha creator Okawara Kunio.

However, many players have complained that this title fails to attract attention with its events and does not understand how to balance new weapons and possibilities added to them. Even so, this title maintains enormous numbers of concurrent players.

What are your thoughts on this title’s decision to leave this platform? Let us know in the comments!

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
