Shift Up’s Stellar Blade shut down all the haters when it was released in April 2024. There was a lot of controversy surrounding the game’s content but its unique combat style, stunning visuals, and engaging gameplay made the game quite popular among gamers.
While completing the campaign, players come across various characters but Tachy and Raven’s appearances were memorable. The character design was perfect for these two but a fan believes that they would’ve been better if they had different skills. Fans hope to see more out of these two characters in a future DLC as they have a lot of potential.
Stellar Blade Got This 1 Thing Wrong About Tachy and Raven
A post on the r/StellarBlade subreddit has pointed out that Tachy and Raven from Shift Up’s Stellar Blade should’ve had different skills. The player claimed that Tachy’s gameplay should be Burst-focused while Raven’s gameplay should be Beta-focused with different moves. Another player pointed out that Shift Up needs to address this in the next update.
Tachy is the leader of the 7th Airborne Squad. She quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her strong combat and survival skills. On the other hand, Raven is an antagonist who was a member of the 2nd Airborne Squad. Shift Up has the opportunity to make these characters much more interesting in a future DLC.
As for Eve, players are provided with a huge Skill Tree where they can improve Eve’s skills. The Skill Tree is primarily divided into Beta, Attack, Survival, Burst, and Tachy Mode.
Stellar Blade Was Criticised For Its Depiction Of Eve
Before the release of the game, there was a lot of criticism regarding the over-s*xualization of Eve. Many critics claimed that it seemed like Shift Up used Eve to attract the male audience. The objectification of Eve did damage Shift Up’s reputation but the director, Kim Hyung-Tae was unbothered by the allegations.
Despite the controversy, Stellar Blade proved to be a successful video game, selling over a million copies. It also received “generally favorable” reviews from critics as the final product was much better than what players expected it to be.
Some Stellar Blade fans have suggested that Shift Up should work with Mortal Kombat, however, the genres and the themes are different so it’s hard to see the possibility of this crossover happening.
Nonetheless, Stellar Blade needs a new DLC as fans have been eagerly waiting to see some sort of expansion and new content. What would you like to see in Stellar Blade‘s future DLC? Tell us about it in the comments!
