A Darth Maul Film With Dave Filoni Will Be The Perfect R-Rated Star Wars Project
Dave Filoni has been a major creative force in bringing a lot of flavor and new voices to the Star Wars franchise. Through shows like The Mandalorian, Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett, he has opened up the world of the franchise and delved into unexplored territories, to mixed results.
Filoni has announced that he will direct an upcoming Star Wars film that will culminate the interconnected narrative of shows mentioned above. he chief creative officer of Lucasfilm also recently expressed interest in doing an R-rated Star Wars project (via Happy Sad Confused Podcast).
Filoni also revealed on the podcast that Lucasfilm’s door is always open to whenever George Lucas decides to return, stating “He can come right in, he has the pass”. If these two forces teamed up for an R-rated project, a Darth Maul film will be a perfect one.
Darth Maul has been a very underrated and intriguing villain as seen in The Phantom Menace and The Clone Wars. In addition to his menacing look and lust for revenge, he is a formidable warrior who is extremely brutal when it comes to taking down those who wronged him.
Lucas will definitely cook up some interesting narrative if a Darth Maul project is developed. Along with Filoni, making a hard-hitting R-rated Darth Maul film that has the feel of Andor, and goes all in with its themes and violence, it will be a unique Star Wars entry that fans will be excited about. It remains or be seen if they end up making such a film.
Hayden Christensen Hailed George Lucas’ Vision For The Star Wars Prequels
After the success of the original trilogy, George Lucas retuned with the prequel trilogy which showed the evolution of Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader. Christensen was very excited to work with Lucas and he praised him for his incredible vision for the franchise.
In an interview with Empire, Christensen called Lucas a visionary who knew exactly what he wanted and where all the pieces of the puzzle fit. In addition to that, Lucas always heard the suggestions that Christensen had and would consider it, before integrating it or discarding it. The Ahsoska star said,

Christensen retuned as his iconic Star Wars character in recent Star Wars series such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka. Despite people hating his performance as Anakin in the prequels, audiences have now welcomed his return in the Star Wars franchise.
