Sparking Zero is on its way, bringing with it all the aspects that make up a great simulation of Dragon Ball combat. As the successor to the acclaimed Budokai Tenkaichi series, expectations for the game are quite high, and it looks capable of meeting them.
Sparking Zero brings back some of the most iconic fighters and features from the esteemed series. While players can’t wait to play the game, attendees at the Anime Expo 2024 have already gotten their hands on it!
Sparking Zero is Available to Play At Anime Expo 2024 and Fans are Jealous
Anime Expo is all about celebrating Japanese pop culture, anime, and games. Held in Los Angeles, California, the convention runs from July 4th to 7th, bringing the most prominent names from the industry, including Bandai Namco!
Bandai Namco is all set to host a panel for Anime Expo 2024. The Summer Showcase panel will happen on July 5th at 5:30 PM PT, with the publisher stating it will bring in new reveals and a first look at anticipated games. While that’s incredible, attendees at the convention can already feel what it feels like to play as Goku!
Sparking Zero is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, and it’s no wonder gamers are itching to get their hands on the game. Fans who are unable to attend the event are hoping that Bandai Namco will give us a demo to play digitally before the game’s release.
It’s not only Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, attendees at the event can also play ZERO, Sword Art Online, Gundam Breaker 4, and Fractured Daydream at the publishers’ booth. At the very least, the rest of us can expect new gameplay from Sparking Zero.
When is Sparking Zero Releasing?
It’s been more than a decade of inactivity for the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and fans are excited to jump back into action with Sparking Zero. Since it was revealed, many have been wondering when the game is going to be released.
The official release date for the game is October 11, 2024, as confirmed during the Summer Games Fest.
The game will be available to play on PC via Steam, as well as on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 for console users.
Fans will be able to get a deluxe edition, which, alongside being able to play three days earlier than the release day, will also include a Season pass that unlocks over 20 playable characters from the franchise.
There’s a high chance that the game might make it to Game Pass eventually, as we’ve seen FighterZ on Game Pass way back in 2024. However, Bandai Namco has not hinted that it will be available on Microsoft’s service at launch.
