However, there are still many microtransactions plaguing the game. Yet, players are not even faced with that as they are swayed by one mechanic/character who is dominating the game and its players, Bunny.

The First Descendant offers players various characters for players to use. All of these characters have their unique abilities which makes them special in their own ways. However, ever since players found out that the character Bunny is broken, in a good way, they just cannot stop using her.

Bunny is an electric attribute descendant and her capability of doing continuous AoE damage has made her the meta unit. All the multiplayer lobbies are filled with Bunny as she is right for every situation and not using her feels like a missed opportunity.

Due to this, players don’t even care about other characters in the game. Some players have even forgotten the controversy of microtransactions, which is still plaguing the game. This made One Reddit user EnteEon, post a picture of a bunch of bunnies, saying this is the current state of the game.

Others are saying that they are forced to play Bunny because of how meta and better she is than other units.

While some are speculating that the release of the next unit will change this meta.

One player changed their character after seeing how a fellow player cleared the POI so easily with Bunny.

This is a serious issue and NEXON has to address this as soon as possible. In any multiplayer game, maintaining the character balance is key as it makes every player’s experience different. Also allowing them an opportunity to try out different characters.

Time for Developers to Step Up and Balance Characters

The abilities of NEXON to handle The First Descendant have been put into question by the community within a few days after the game’s release. The controversy regarding the microtransaction was not even over and now the game has found itself in another one as all the characters are not balanced correctly.

These issues are sad to see as the game is very good and the multiplayer experience has been very fun. Players are enjoying every second of the game. But now it is time for developers at NEXON to wake up and implement the necessary changes.

Otherwise, the game as good as The First Descendant might not be very popular for a long time. In the end, players can only hope that the developers balance the characters and not make microtransactions predatory.
