How Gears of War: E-Day Can Make the Lancer a Force to be Reckoned With
Since the story of E-Day will take place 14 years before the first Gears of War game, it will feature the original Lancer, also known as the Retro Lancer. While the later games in the series upgraded the weapon various times, the original Retro Lancer was appropriately powerful for the emergency day period.

One of the highlights of the thread is the introduction of larger game modes. The recent Gears of War games have not featured such a mode, so bringing a 10v10 mode will only boost the chaos.

Amidst all the fans’ expectations and demands regarding the upcoming game, one thing is for sure: E-Day will be one of The Coalition’s best games. The teaser shown at the Xbox Showcase has already generated a lot of hype, proving this is precisely what the franchise needed.
The game will focus on an emergency day and what it felt like to stand in front of doom, which would soon engulf the world in chaos. Players will also get to see the inception of Locust Horde and the destruction they bring.
The game will focus on the back story of fan favorites Marcus and Dom. We have seen them in several other games, but for the first time, players will live their younger days and experience their budding chemistry.
