For the first two seasons of the series, things had been going at a pace that had fans thoroughly enjoying. While they were heavily kept in sync with the manga, there were ample amounts of anime original sequences and changes to support it being such a masterpiece. The beauty of the series was only brought forward with the dedication to the source material and all that could be added.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Will Take Things Up a Notch

During a recent interview (via Viz Media on X), the production staff of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War gathered together to talk about the upcoming third season. There are a lot of fans waiting for some of the most anticipated scenes of the series. While they have already hinted towards Shunsui Kyōraku’s Bankai being revealed, there can be a lot more to be expected.

The arc is especially filled with scenes that are almost always praised and that is why both in the manga and the anime, it stands out more than the rest. One of the key features it focuses on is the fight sequences. While the anime has already added so many original scenes, enhancing fights to the next level, the third season chooses to put more into it.

We’re working hard to go beyond the quality of the original manga to animate their scenes.

The idea would be to not only build upon what has already been provided but to completely push it to another level. The first two seasons had more of a loyalty to the manga and Tite Kubo himself was involved in most of the anime original sequences that were added, pushing the thought that anything he couldn’t add in the manga needed to be put in the anime instead.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is Setting Up a Masterpiece

When the work comes to focus on making things better rather than simply copying it, there is an unspoken understanding that what is most looked forward to might also take priority. Fans have already been jumping on the edge of their seats for all those Aizen scenes that are yet to come but one fight sequence alone could break the internet if executed right.

Taking the center of attention, Shunsui Kyōraku has a lot of eyes on him in the upcoming season. Fans are anticipating not just his Bankai to make its anime debut but also for the episode battle between him and Lille Barro to break any restraints the animators might have had. The fight is one worth a lot of hype and it is safe to say that once it releases, it has the ability to make the fans roar.

Seeing how the production staff has promised to make the manga scenes even better and bigger, it is only safe to assume that this fight would take front and center.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War season 3 will be available to watch from October 2024.
