The modding community took the responsibility into their own hands and developed a handful of mods featuring characters from that franchise into the Grand Theft Auto series. Complete with outfits and abilities, it is a no-brainer move to pass on this golden opportunity.

Rockstar Games made a handful of massive open-world video game franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption and each new project is better and bigger in some ways. The modding community found a way to explore the untouched areas of the last Red Dead Redemption game which is a testament to the skills of the developers, and made impressive mods earlier featuring characters from The Boys in the last GTA game.

This mod is the closest the gaming community will ever get to a fully realized video game adaptation of the iconic TV series of Amazon Prime Video. The official X account once hinted at the possibility of a video game based around the franchise years ago but ended up a dead end.

Other video games like Fortnite may jump on the train and feature characters from the franchise in the in-game item shop for a future collaboration. The era of unhinged superbeings is an untapped gold mine and Eric Kripke, the creator of the franchise should consider partnering with experienced game developers.

There is always room for improvement and developing new projects set in the same universe to expand the lore is the best way to give the fans more content at a much more sustainable pace. Gen V was a spinoff series and was a perfect substitute before the fourth season of the show, perhaps a video game will be well-received.

Video games can complement the violent nature and theme of the adult superhero franchise. Many other forms of media entertainment are banking hard on this kind of content and should not draw the line with live-action.

Perhaps other major gaming studios approached Kripke and their pitches couldn’t convince the writer to share the weight of responsibility. The show will end with a fifth season but doesn’t have to end the story.

There is always room for growth and the video game industry could be the perfect avenue. Kripke is focused on landing the bird properly but may be open to other projects inspired by the potential of mods.
