Be it Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2 or Kakarot, beam clashes and struggles are always a sight to behold. They are fancy yet their depictions have been simple in video games. However, Sparking Zero is taking this to the next level, and fans don’t really want the developers to do that.

When two characters enter a beam clash, the Bandai Namco game sends them into a void-like, dark place. Fans want that to be simple, like how video games in the past have done it. As the game’s release approaches, fans have been quick to touch up on issues that they feel need some attention.

Maybe Dragon Ball Fans Want it to be as Simple as Before.

Whether it’s a Turtle Destruction Wave or a Galick Gun, any energy clash is sure to drain the energies of the character but fill the fans with utmost pleasure. But that isn’t really the case with its depiction in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Fans believe older Dragon Ball video games did it better. A fan shared a post on social network Reddit that compared Sparking Zero‘s beam clash with that of Raging Blast. Spike Chunsoft sure would want their games to be better than those that came before.

I don’t like how in Sparking Zero during a beam clash, the point at which they meet is separated by a black void. Makes it look like they aren’t really touching. It looked way better and less cluttered in older games

That might be the second time fans have highlighted the feature in the upcoming Bandai Namco game. It was Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero characters entering the Dimension of Strange Swirling Lights in their base forms that bugged them.

Spike Chunsoft Might be Overworking Beam Clashes

While some fans may have lofty expectations from the game, they make a valid point here. Some things are better off simple, in fact, simple appeals more sometimes.

This one fan thinks the game may have overdone it this time.

Others appear to have been agreeing with him.

They sure want the developers to rework one of the most anticipated features.

The game isn’t perfect but if developers pay some close attention to a few aspects, maybe they will be successful in doing so. Fixing some lore-breaking issues would help.

So far so good. Some great work goes in there as far as the trailers are concerned. Maybe that’s the reason fans are calling it a peak game already. Spike Chunsoft would surely want to keep it that way.

What do you think about the depiction of beam clashes in the game? We would like to know your thoughts about it in the comments section below.
