Mike Tyson Hits Two Bullseyes While Being Blindfolded In A Darts Game
Mike Tyson is a boxing legend who is known for undisputed reign in the ‘80s. The athlete was undefeated three years after he turned professional and he won nineteen of those matches via knockout. Tyson was also the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title.
Tyson will be stepping into the ring again this year to fight against Internet personality and boxer Jake Paul. While the match was earlier scheduled to take place on July 20, it was postponed to November 15 after Mike Tyson faced a medical scare (via Fightmag). Despite the age difference, fans believe that the GOAT will pulverize Paul in the ring.
Fans were even more convinced of Mike Tyson’s victory over Paul when a video of the former displaying his skills in a dart game. In a game that felt straight out of the Jason Sudeikis starrer Ted Lasso, Tyson hit not one, but two bullseyes while being blindfolded. According to the host, no one had gone beyond 35 points on the show.
Fans were visibly ecstatic at seeing the legend in his form again and were sure that he was going to beat Jake Paul at the game in November.
Jason Sudeikis’ Ted Lasso Dart Game Was Improvised
The dart game with Mike Tyson, which showed the legend nail two bullseyes, reminded many of a scene from the first season of Ted Lasso. The sports comedy series saw Jason Sudeikis’ Ted manage a losing English football team despite being an American football coach.
In the episode, Lasso is in the local pub before a game when he and his boss Rebecca (played by Hannah Waddingham) run into her ex-husband and owner of the AFC Richmond club, Rupert. In a show of solidarity with Rebecca, Lasso enters a dart game with Rupert and after feigning incompetence wins the game with two bullseyes while saying a monologue.
According to Hannah Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis worked on the monologue and changed lines until the camera started rolling and then delivered magic. She said to WXYZ Detroit,
I didn’t have to say anything, really. I could just sit back and feel Ted and Jason through that scene. And I don’t know whether many fans know this, but that scene didn’t look or sound like that until very shortly before the cameras turned over. He was tweaking and tweaking and tweaking that monologue. And he’s quite something to watch.
Jason Sudeikis won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy twice in a row, including the first season and he also won the Primetime Emmy.
Ted Lasso is streaming on Apple TV+.
