“I’ve no idea what’s in it”: Most Fans Have No Idea about George Lucas’ Star Wars Bible, Even Dave Filoni Hasn’t Had a Chance to Look Through it

While the director is known for some of his bad ideas, a binder full of secret Star Wars trivia seems like a fan boy's dream.

George Lucas’ Star Wars bible is perhaps the most important document floating around over at Disney. Filoni revealed in an interview way back in 2011 that the visionary director has a lot of plans and ideas in that book and that he had not gotten a chance yet to have a look into it.

Speaking with Den of the Geek, Filoni revealed that the book could have some very interesting information, and definitely includes a slew of ideas that were conceived even before Star Wars, and many of those that are yet to find their place in the galaxy far, far away.

Back in 2011, Dave Filoni was already working on ideas from the binder

Filoni, in conversation with Den of Geek, was promoting the release of the DVD for the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He revealed what he knew about the binder, which was spotted in one of the DVD extras that he was in with the creator of the IP, George Lucas:

It’s a binder he had from even before Star Wars, with his name scribbled on it. I’ve no idea what’s in it! But it contains information and ideas that didn’t make it into the films. We’re already doing a lot of ideas that were overlooked or left out of the films, things that George didn’t have time or space for.

Who knows that Palpatine and Sidious are the same person? Who knows certain things? All we have to do is ask George, he has all the answers! He’s our greatest asset. Sometimes I feel like peeking over his shoulder just to see what’s in it!

While the last speculation by Dave Filoni might be a little too complicated twelve years later, it must be noted that the books might as well be the keys to the kingdom when it comes to Star Wars. While it is not really known how much of modern Star Wars stems from the ideas of the book, the contents seem to be for George Lucas and his closest pals alone.

Dave Filoni’s Star Wars film will close out a slew of storylines

Shows like Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett look into the time between the rise of the New Republic and the emergence of the First Order. The film that Dave Filoni will be directing is going to look at the threads that were left open by these shows and finish them off in a manner that will define the particular point in time that the film will be set in i.e. The New Republic.

The film will be juggling a lot of characters and focusing on bringing a slew of loose threads from the shows over to it. It will also perhaps see a united Imperial Remnant front, which could have Grand Admiral Thrawn receive assistance from the likes of Moff Gideon (who fans are heavily speculating is still alive and well), along with the Hutts, who would want to get their power back from Boba Fett.
