Charlie Sheen’s feud with Chuck Lorre is pretty well-documented, as his criticisms against Lorre and CBS, followed by his other set of controversies, led to his departure from Two and a Half Men. Moreover, the actor’s departure left the cast and crew of the sitcom in limbo, which left one The Big Bang Theory star furious, who later expressed his feelings regarding the whole fiasco.

Although the actor did admit to sending a note to The Big Bang Theory creator to resolve things, he didn’t back down from sharing his viewpoints on the acclaimed sitcom.

Apart from starring in Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen also made a guest appearance in Chuck Lorre’s other notable sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, in episode 4 of season 2, The Griffin Equivalency. However, he doesn’t have many fond words to say about the Jim Parsons-led show that was scheduled to run after his Anger Management, which started a year after his departure from Two and a Half Men.

Speaking with The Guardian, Sheen stressed that apart from the kids, the sitcom doesn’t have any saving grace.

I’m sorry, but Big Bang Theory is a piece of sh-t – it’s a stupid show and it’s just lame, about lame people. I like the kids in it, but that show without us as a lead-in is… goodbye. And I’m rooting for those kids, because I know who they’re dealing with. The fact that they’re still sane is crazy.

He also took a dig at showrunner Lorre during his rant about the sitcom, jokingly stating that the showrunner is a bad man and that this is the reason he backed away from him.

Johnny Gelacki, who played the fan-favorite Leonard on the aforementioned sitcom, also vented his frustrations against Sheen, as his departure risked the jobs of the crew of Two and a Half Men. As a result, the actor was against appearing in 2011’s Emmys, as Sheen was announced to be the presenter at the ceremony.

He said:

I even told Warner Bros. I was going to boycott the Emmys that year because of Charlie. He was putting hundreds of people’s jobs in peril, so I told Warner Bros., ‘Sorry’.

But after taking into account that he could score a win for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, Galecki decided to attend the ceremony to avoid Sheen potentially taking the accolade on his behalf.

The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Max.
