Having become an absolute success for the studio, Helldivers 2 was one of the biggest surprises of the year. This sequel from Arrowhead Game Studios completely changed its design to offer a different type of gameplay experience.
In certain instances, a third-person and first-person camera replaced the top-down camera from the first title, enhancing the immersive gameplay. A fan of the first game posted on Reddit that the studio should honor a certain weapon by making it much more effective than it was in the first title.

This user posted a lengthy text on Reddit explaining why the current state of the Railgun, after numerous updates in Helldivers 2, has made the weapon practically useless against the Automatons.
This particular user appears to be a veteran franchise player who has already tested the weapon in the previous game. Based on this comparison, they admit that, due to the various updates, the weapon is now useless against these enemies.
As a knowledgeable player, the user detailed the enemies against whom the weapon is effective. It appears that this particular weapon is effective against only two enemies, rendering it practically obsolete.
The user’s text continued, stating that the weapon no longer makes sense due to its inability to deal any damage to enemies. However, one of the most significant points they highlighted was that in the initial game, this weapon was virtually unbeatable, which further compounded its current state of frustration.
These kinds of detailed suggestions, or rather, criticisms, make the studio pay close attention to the community to address the issues. Helldivers 2 always has players willing to give advice and vocalize their criticisms to achieve the best possible gaming experience.
For now, it seems that the Railgun will not receive any adjustments from the studio, but at least this user was able to express their dissatisfaction.
