Helldivers 2 continues to be the only PvE game on the market. With the likes of Fortnite, Valorant, and other popular multiplayer shooters, Arrowhead Game Studios has found its niche in the market.
As players continue to ravage Terminids & Automatons, some are looking for a little extra firepower. To fulfill the fantasy of whipping out tons of enemies at once but on a shorter timer.
There are different ways to add this to the game but will Arrowhead ever implement it?
Helldivers 2: More Destruction = More Fun

For a PvE project, the game should give players the fun fantasy of blowing up a bunch of enemies without the stress of playing against other players. While the difficulty of battling Terminids should remain strong, what’s the harm in giving the players more tools to win the fight?
In a recent Reddit thread, one fan suggests a booster to the Hellbomb like shortening the cooldown for more destruction. This Stratagem is objective specific but it would be nice to rain down more bombs during difficult missions.
Arrowhead please add a hellbomb booster

The thread goes on to further explain this booster would be balanced because of the existence of Stratagem Jammers and Hellbombs are already hard to land as is.
Boosters are already in Helldivers 2 to give the player an amplified stat like increased sprint duration or taking less damage. These can only be equipped before a mission and don’t effect things like stratagems in any way.
Instead of a booster, what if Arrowhead added a new one-time use cooldown reduction to all Stratagems the players have equipped, including the Hellbomb?

If Arrowhead wanted to add more explosions to the player experience, this cooldown buff would be it.
While it would be a one-time use, it will return for the player to use after six hours. If that’s too short, bump it up to eight or 12 hours then.
The most fun part about PvE games is learning how to overcome the game’s obstacles with you and your friends. A little boost to Stratagems for a single mission can’t hurt that much. Based on how the Helldivers 2 community responded to past changes, a buff like this would be nice.
It’s hard to believe the massive PvE game by Arrowhead has only been out for over five months. With a dual launch on PlayStation 5 and PC, Sony had a massive hit on its hands without even knowing.
Since its launch, Arrowhead has made many adjustments and additions to the project which has seen mixed results. From nerfing fan favorite weapons and strategies to almost requiring a PSN account to log into the game, it has not been a steady journey.
If Helldivers 2 wants to get back to its glory days, this change might be a good first step.
