Enter Redditor and self-proclaimed “Helldivers 1 veteran” Twogunkid, who has recently proposed a brilliant idea that could change the way we fight in Helldivers 2: Berserker Stims a concept so simple yet so effective that it’s a wonder Arrowhead hasn’t already implemented it into the game.

In a recent post on the r/Helldivers subreddit, Twogunkid shared a list of creative Stim ideas that could add a whole new level of excitement to the game. Among these suggestions was the Berserker Stims, which would provide a window of “increased survival chemicals to the body”, allowing Helldivers to endure fatal wounds for a brief period.

The concept is similar to the existing Democracy Protects armor passive, which provides a 50% chance of surviving lethal damage. Twogunkid suggests that the Berserker Stims could stack with this passive, providing a limited 75% survival chance.

This could undoubtedly be a game-changer for Helldivers facing overwhelming odds on the battlefield, especially on max difficulty!

The idea has been met with enthusiasm from fellow Helldivers 2 players, who are already dreaming up ways to incorporate Berserker Stims into their loadouts:

However, some valid concerns were also raised particularly about the potential balance implications of such a powerful Stim:

Sure, the idea of becoming an unstoppable force on the battlefield, laughing in the face of death as you mow down hordes of enemies, is undeniably appealing. But as with any new addition to the game, balance is key.

“Experimental Infusion”: A Step in the Right Direction

While Arrowhead has yet to acknowledge any of Twogunkid’s Stim ideas, the devs have recently added the Experimental Infusion Booster with the latest Viper Commandos Warbond. This perk causes Stims to temporarily increase movement speed and damage resistance in addition to restoring health.

The Helldivers 2 community has reacted positively to the new booster, with many players praising its effectiveness in dire situations. It’s a promising sign that Arrowhead is open to exploring new ways to improve the Stim system and keep the game fresh and exciting.

Twogunkid’s Berserker Stims and other creative suggestions show that there is still plenty of untapped potential in the Stim system. With a few tweaks and balancing considerations, these ideas could add a whole new dimension to the Helldivers 2 experience.

So, what do you think, Helldivers? Would you like to see Berserker Stims or any of Twogunkid’s other ideas implemented in the game? How do you think they would impact the meta and overall balance? Let us know in the comments below!
