X-Men: Days of Future Past could easily be termed the best movie out of all the films in the X-Men film series, with its critically acclaimed score from both critics and the general audience. But even in its final form that was seen on the big screens, there were some elements missing that had actually been shot but never made it to the final cut.

One of these scenes included Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in a rather unpredictable position with another Marvel actress. As seen in a recently resurfaced deleted clip from the movie, Halle Berry’s Storm was seen engaged in a passionate lip-lock scene with Jackman’s mutant, following which she quite literally screams in joy at the gravity of what she had just done.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Cut Scene Showed Storm with Wolverine

X-Men: Days of Future Past, as seen on the big screens, was already a tremendous masterpiece, standing at a boastful 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes along with its blockbuster box office performance of garnering $746 million on its budget of $200 million (via Box Office Mojo). But this final cut of the film didn’t include everything it was intended to.

Out of all the deleted scenes from the masterpiece, there was one particular that would have, inevitably, left fans shell-shocked. This scene was the one where Jackman’s Wolverine gets engaged in a lip-lock session with Halle Berry‘s Storm in the movie. (Pretty unexpected, yes, because we thought Logan couldn’t get Jean out of his mind?)

Making this scene all the more surprising was how it ended, which was Hugh Jackman‘s Logan pulling apart from the kiss and looking toward the camera when Storm jumps up in a joyous scream to have made out with someone like Logan. (Or perhaps, Jackman?) Addressing her reaction is a shaking-my-head reaction from Logan, almost as if this reaction was normal for him.

As shared by @thatmovieblog on Instagram, this deleted scene was indeed as hilarious and unprecedented as could be. However, at the same time, it also, somewhat, explored the previously left unexplored arc of Berry and Jackman’s respective onscreen mutants, as had been depicted more than once in the comics.

Since both of them are already well-known allies, this budding relationship could have been a resourceful addition to Logan’s live-action character arc. However, for some reason unknown, it couldn’t make its way to the final cut of the movie, and now, fans are hoping it somehow makes its way to the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine.

While @thatmovieblog on Instagram decided to caption that scene with an “I need this to happen in Deadpool & Wolverine,” other fans are having the time of their lives as they share their respective reactions to this particular deleted scene. And, unsurprisingly enough, they have some of the most hilarious reactions to the same, as have been compiled below:

She totally blew that take on purpose so they could do take 2″ ~ @thunder_dan9

“She’s been waiting for that kiss since Swordfish. 😂😂” ~ @voidwalker1000

“Hugh: Still got it” ~ @cohigo

“It would actually be really cool if they touch up on wolverine and storms relationship in the new Deadpool movie that was something I kind of wanted to see in the first three X-Men movies” ~ @mister_bones__

“Bro that confident look on 😂Hugh Jackman’s face” ~ @firewall189

Not gonna lie, I often kinda wished Wolverine & Storm got together in the movies” ~ @josephcraig1990

“He was in character the whole time which makes it more funny” ~ @newworld_artist

As can already be understood from all of these fan reactions, including that one scene could have done Days of Future Past more good than bad. But, for whatever reasons it may have been un-included, it can still make its way back to the big screens through the upcoming Deadpool movie — that is, if the creators intend it to.
