Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus, One Piece, stands tall as the most entertaining anime series of all time, orchestrated by Toei Animation. The studio is known for its meticulous attention to detail and for ensuring that each frame captures the narrative essence of the source material.
For 25 years, they have breathed life into the characters of the Shonen series, elevating the epic adventure of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirate crew on the Grand Line. Over the years, the series has added several iconic moments to its collection; it looks like it has added another one to its stellar treasury.
One Piece has geared up for its next action-packed saga, the Egghead Island Arc, and it has featured the much-awaited fight between Red-Haired Shanks and Eustass Kid. The animation was flawless and could not be any sweeter as fans shared their opinions on social media.
One Piece Finally Featured Shanks vs. Eustass Kid’s Rematch
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has entered a key stage in its storyline. With the traitor being revealed on Egghead Island, it was none other than York, one of Dr. Vegapunk’s satellites, who killed Shaka to keep her secret.
Moreover, Atlas and the members of the Straw Hat Pirate crew decided to scavenge the abandoned laboratory for any clues. While fans anticipated what would take place in the next episode, the series decided to make the fans wait and took them on a small yet thrilling detour.
The preview showcased the much-awaited battle between Shanks and Eustass Kid. Episode 1112 showcased the rematch, where Captain Kid decided to go all out; he created a rail gun using his ability and destroyed the fleet of the Red-haired Pirates.
As he was getting ready for the second attack, Shanks decided to join the battle, foreseeing the future for 10 seconds, and launched an overwhelmingly powerful Haki strike, calling it Kamusari (Divine Departure).

With one single slash, both Killer and his captain were slaughtered, and both of them lost consciousness. Shanks decided to let the giants of Elbaph land the final blow, obliterating the Kid Pirates for better or for worse with another devastating attack called Hakoku Sovereignty.
The anime series did not deviate much from the manga, but it made one change in the show. The manga showcased the fight as something where Shanks annihilated Kid without even trying.
The anime decided to make him look much more significant and show some love to the character. Hence, elevating the greatness of the scene to another level. However, one thing is certain: Toei Animation decided to go all out during this fight.
Fans Could Not Get Over The Flawless Animation Featured in The Much-Awaited Fight Between The Two Pirates
Even though the fight between the two pirates was pretty much one-sided, fans were united as they could not get enough of the animation and how perfect everything was, which showcased every little detail of the scene.
The One Piece fans point out different aspects showcased in the scene, from covering his sword in Conqueror’s Haki to launching a Haki slash to his prowess as a swordsman by not cutting Kid in half. The viewers have not left any detail to go unseen on X.
This was just one of the attacks from shanks

Too much additional stuff that we won't see in the future, this kind of thing creates inconsistency, but the animation is good.

As a Kidd fan I think this does him much more justice than the Manga. The manga made Kidd seem insignificant while this made it seem like Shanks went full force up close and personal while also not just obliterating Kidd. It shows Shanks’s power without ruining Kidd’s character

Shanks' Divine Departure was the best animation.🔥 I hope Eustass Kidd will come back later. By the way, do you think Shanks is a swordsman?🤔 pic.twitter.com/7m6lWboopi

It was a haki slash, not sword slash. He uses haki with the sword.

Mihawk and Zoro skill not haki
This sub-storyline not only showcased the studio’s dedication to showcasing Oda-Sensei’s story but also how little we know of one of the Conquerors of the Sea. Hence, the fans are excited about what awaits in the next episode of the Shonen series.
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
