As calls for President Biden to step down from the presidential race intensify, former President and candidate, Donald Trump has just survived an assassination attempt. At a campaign rally held in Pennsylvania, Trump was the subject of a shooting incident, which he escaped with a bleeding ear.

However, two others were injured with one Trump supporter having lost his life. As the news spread, several celebrities wished the Presidential candidate, praying for his speedy recovery.

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump Survives Assassination Attempt

The United States has been plunged into a slew of controversy and uncertainty as the presidential run takes a dark turn. At a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, former president Donald Trump was apparently shot at repeatedly, and fortunately survived, thanks to the Secret Service’s prompt action, although one supporter sadly lost his life.

The shooter too has been shot down by the Secret Service, while two others present at the rally were critically injured. As per NBC, the shots were fired from outside the venue’s security perimeter, as was established by the Secret Service.

As per the BBC, the suspect had fired from an elevated position with an AR-style rifle, while witnesses on site told they had seen the attacker close by minutes after the rally started. As the shooter’s identity is now being investigated, Trump was taken to the hospital with an injured ear.

The former President, via his social media platform, Truth Social (via NBC) later released his first statement, stating that his ear was injured due to a bullet wound and thanked the Secret Service for their immediate action. As images of him injured, and being rushed off the stage go viral, they obviously will have a huge impact on the ongoing political climate of the country.

While President Biden battles a sea of controversy regarding his mental and physical health and calls to step down from the presidential race, the recent event has surely turned the tide for Donald Trump, who is being projected as ‘the man America needs’.

Celebrities Rush to Shower Support For Ex-Prez Donald Trump

Concerns about the rising violence and gunning have been going on for a while, and the latest assassination attempt has only added to the woes of the people, who are afraid of the prevalence of violence in the country. Yet, this attack has also brought together several celebrities, who have come together to show their support for Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

After the news of his being involved in an assassination attempt went viral, a string of celebrities came together to show their support for the former President. President Biden too declared the attack as sick, while former President Barack Obama joined in to wish Trump a quick recovery.

Meanwhile, staunch Trump supporter, Dana White, took to Instagram, to condemn the shooting and described Trump as the toughest, most resilient, American Bad A** and that he cannot want to join his political campaign.
