Discussing how she worked with her father for 10 years to put together this behind-the-scenes archive file, Becca Mann recalled coming across crazy, beautiful documents like the Al Pacino and Robert De Niro starrer crime thriller, Heat. As one thing led to another, the filmmaker then addressed the complex ending of Heat and why it took longer than usual to catch up with the audience.

Thereafter, with the outlet wondering which of Michael Mann’s projects would be addressed further on the archive website, the filmmaker announced his plans for Heat 2. Claiming to be deep into writing the screenplay adaptation of his novel, Mann expressed his desire to begin production by the end of this year or the beginning of 2025.
