It’s been five years since Avengers: Endgame broke fans’ hearts with the devastating yet fitting end to its eleven-year superhero saga. However, many deleted clips still resurface on the internet, teasing fans with what could have been shown in theaters.

There are some specific omitted scenes in Avengers: Endgame that might never be recycled in the future, but directors Anthony and Joe Russo hint that the rest can still be useful in future MCU installments.

The Russo Brothers Removed This Hilarious Scene In Avengers: Endgame

A deleted scene from Avengers: Endgame via an Instagram fan page showed a confrontation between Iron Man, Star-Lord, and Doctor Strange. In the video, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark is seen arguing with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange.

Look who’s back. Hey, I remember 5 years ago you ran 15 million futures and one of them worked, yeah? Why don’t you tell me how?

The Sorcerer Supreme responded, “If I told you, it wouldn’t happen,” and then an enraged Stark grabbed him by his cape and reiterated, “Yeah, there’s no time for that. Listen to me, which one wins?

Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill intervened and asked Strange, “Doctor Weird, can you open one of your magic space holes over to the van?” The latter answered, “No, the doors work both ways, there would be 500 of those things in here before we stepped through.” Chris Evans’ Captain America and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther looked at each other, evidently clueless as to what was happening around them.

This hilarious clip unfortunately did not make it to the final cut and was left in the editing room. As to why the Russo brothers chose to remove it remains a mystery. It would have made the whole theater room ring with laughter.

The Russo Brothers Confirmed Deleted Scenes May Still Be Used In Future MCU Projects

Anthony and Joe Russo revealed there were so many ideas they weren’t able to include in Avengers: Endgame that they hope to see in future Marvel films. In their interview with Lights Camera Barstool, the directors shared:

This is a hard question for us to answer, because the stuff that we love most, and that we’re most passionate about, there’s still a chance it may show up someday. It’s hard for us to start talking publicly about it… We can try to talk around it.

Indeed, many of the shot scenes that were left out in the past could be of use in the next films since the MCU has interweaving stories and timelines that overlap each other.

This is why filmmakers rarely discuss discarded scenes from movies, unless, of course, they get leaked online, like that funny clip with Iron Man, Star-Lord, and Doctor Strange.
