Despite its playability, Focus Entertainment has warned fans about the potential risks, including malware. Additionally, the developer stated that the unfinished build lacks the full experience and content that the final version will provide.

The dev build has attracted considerable attention online, with over 500 downloads recorded and numerous gameplay videos. These videos have been swiftly removed from platforms like YouTube to stop the spread of spoilers.

The origins of the leak remain unclear, with speculation about whether it was an internal or external breach. The leaked build appears to be one of the final versions before the game went gold. The build is reportedly dated June 20 2024 which explains its high level of polish despite its unfinished state.
