  • Though many thoughts and ideas have been proposed by One Piece fans, none of them seem to be able to explain how the Straw Hat Pirates can beat their adversaries.

Ever since the fight of the Egghead Island arc in One Piece started, Luffy has been trying to defeat the Gorosei with every possible attack in his arsenal. Not only has he used the full potential of Gear 5 mode, but he has even taken the help of others in his fight to defeat them, but the Gorosei does not seem to have any weaknesses.

This is proving to be a big hindrance in the escape plans of the Straw Hat Pirates, and although Luffy has managed to throw Gorosei away from the battlefield, it still doesn’t give him an understanding of Gorosei’s weakness. Thus, when he meets them in the future, he needs to be prepared with some sort of plan that could take them down.

Many One Piece fans have speculated on many theories and notions as to how the Straw Hat Pirates can defeat their enemies, but nothing seems to work. Still, there is one last resort left that could be helpful. This last resort is the former Shichibukai, Gecko Moria, who has been hinted at being a threat to the Gorosei.

Gecko Moria Might Be Able To Take Down The Five Elders

According to the One Piece theory, Gecko Moria’s Devil Fruit holds the power to defeat the Fiver Elders, and it has already been hinted at by Eiichiro Oda. Ever since Gecko Moria was defeated by Luffy and his crew, the Gorosei have been trying to kill him. They even sent Doflamingo during the war to kill him.

While the reason given by Doflamingo was that Moria was not strong enough to be a warlord, there is a chance that the Gorosei wanted to take control of Moria’s Devil Fruit abilities. Moria’s Devil Fruit, the Shadow-Shadow Fruit, allowed Moria to take control of anyone’s shadows and use them for his personal gain.

The theory states that when all five Gorosei landed on Egghead Island, they did not have their shadows. Which proved that they might have already taken a precaution to save their shadows from being taken over. Thus, it might be a hint from Oda that the Gorosei might not be as invulnerable as Luffy thinks.

Luffy Needs Gecko Moria’s Help

If the theory mentioned above holds any credence, Luffy might need assistance from Gecko Moria in order to defeat the Gorosei in the final battle. However, the last time Gecko Moria was seen was when he attacked Blackbeard on the Pirate Island and was imprisoned by him until he was saved by Perona and Koby.

While it is highly unlikely that Luffy might meet Gecko Moria and convince him to help Luffy defeat the Gorosei, as of now, he seems to be the only one who could do something about the terrifying devil-like abilities of the Gorosei. Luffy somehow needs to form an alliance with Gecko Moria and take them down.

Gecko Moria knows that the World Government ordered a hit on him by Doflamingo. And according to his personality, he might want to take revenge on them. Thus, there is still a possibility that Moria, in order to gain back his respect, will align with Luffy in his final One Piece battle.
