War can be dirty and will certainly get worse before it gets better. Soldiers have seen their fair share of blood on the battlefield and if the developers want to deliver an authentic and immersive experience, they should not hold back with the censorship for this year’s entry.

Activision assigned this year’s installment to Raven Software and Treyarch and the gaming community is excited to see what the combined efforts of two developers will look like. The fans are optimistic that this entry will have some improvements in some areas that have been problematic in previous entries like the efficiency of the sniper rifle in older Call of Duty games that requires serious tuning.

The gaming community reflected on older Black Ops installments and suggested that the developers should bring back the gore and dismemberment mechanics. It may not be suitable for younger players but will allow players to have a more authentic and accurate gaming experience.

The developers have broken new ground for this new installment and will implement a new animation and movement system designated as omnimotion. Perhaps Treyarch and Raven Software could include older mechanics that fans are longing for to increase the entertainment factor and to stay on their good side.

Gore and dismemberment did wonders for The Last of Us Part 2 after Naughty Dog implemented the new system with the advanced game engine. This feature could augment the gaming experience and make the gaming community feel the horrors of being on the frontlines of a firefight in a much safer environment.

Being able to blast off body parts and limbs of anything standing in the way will allow the players to feel powerful. The franchise may be about warfare but it is still a video game that reflects real atrocities and could be used to discourage players from trying to recreate these acts of violence.

Parents and guardians may have some thoughts about this and will likely be squeamish and for good reason. They would want to protect their children from being traumatized but an argument can be made that this is all a simulation to depict the negativity of violence.

Perhaps it would be best for the developers to at least consider adding an option to adjust or dial down the gore, or a feature to remove them altogether. This is the best way to cater to different players with different preferences of how they wish to play a game.

Bringing back gore and dismemberment will allow players to have a much more realistic and grounded experience. It may not be a big deal for casual players but fans will appreciate the feeling of familiarity with older games.
