These spoilers have made the fans believe that this chapter might be one of the most important chapters of the Egghead Island arc, not only because of its story but because it has introduced another mysterious character’s silhouette that many believe looks exactly like Shanks. The theories about this mysterious character are flying left, right, and center.

One of these theories points out that the mysterious character is actually a Seraphim, and that too is the strongest one, as it might be the clone of the former Pirate King Gol D. Roger. The theory not only reflects the identity of the mysterious character but also absolves Shanks of the major allegations that fans have imposed on the Yonko.

The Mysterious Character in One Piece, Chapter 1121

It might be too late for Eiichiro Oda to introduce a new character in One Piece, but it certainly is exciting for One Piece fans as it adds another layer of enigma to the narrative. This mysterious character has been featured with the most prominent names in the One Piece world, including the likes of Monkey D. Dragon and Shanks.

Not only is his importance in the One Piece story reflected in this, but so is his role in reshaping the One Piece world. The only problem is that Oda loves to drag the identity reveal of such characters as much as possible; thus, it may take a little time before he makes a complete appearance in one of the One Piece arcs.

When it comes to guessing the character, there is not much for fans to go for, as only a small shadow of the character in a tiny panel has been used to portray him, but there is one tiny detail that makes all the difference, and that is his sword. The sword that he is holding looks just like the one Shanks has, making fans believe that he might be the theorized evil twin.

One Piece Theory Explains That the Mysterious Character is a Seraphim

According to a theory posted by u/Boxsteam_1279 on Reddit, the mysterious character is actually a Seraphim of Gol D. Roger. After his public execution, no one knew what happened to Roger’s body. However, as the Navy captured him, there is a strong chance that the World Government used it for their experiments, as they did with other characters.

The theory states that as the silhouette holds a sword that looks similar to that of Shanks, it is possible that the sword was actually Roger’s sword, called Ace. It was given to Roger’s Seraphim, and he might prove to be the biggest menace in the final war, as being a clone of Roger makes him the strongest Seraphim there is.

While the theory talks about the mysterious character, a comment by u/SirKevinBastian on the post extends the theory and explains how Shanks might have known about the experiment on Roger’s body because of his connection to the World Government.

It might be the reason why he decided to hide the bodies of Edward Newgate ‘Whitebeard’ and Ace (Roger’s son) after the Paramount War. If this is true, it might vindicate Shanks from the allegations about him being a World Government spy.
