Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy was one of the many welcome changes to the source material of The Boys and served as the highlight character for Season 3. With Season 4 wrapped up, the character was teased to make an appearance in Season 5, as Homelander now essentially has control over the United States government.
Given that Homelander and Soldier Boy were at odds the last time audiences saw them, it will be interesting to see how the leader of The Seven (and now the United States) is going to use the character to meet his goals, especially with the virus still looming large as a threat for Supes across the world.
Fans are excited to see how Soldier Boy is leveraged in The Boys Season 5
As The Boys heads toward its final season, a long list of conflicts and arcs seem to be heading toward their respective resolutions. Fans are especially excited to see Jensen Ackles return as Soldier Boy, who made a cameo at the tail end of Season 4, as a part of the mid-credits scene after the finale.
With Billy Butcher in possession of the super virus, along with his abilities thanks to the V tumor, Homelander might be able to use Soldier Boy in more ways than one in the final season of The Boys. While he is definitely an asset in a fight, there is one key way in which Homelander could deploy Soldier Boy, and wouldn’t even require waking him up.
Soldier Boy could be Homelander’s anti-dote to the Supe Virus
The virus that was created to kill Homlander has a unique way of targeting supes and supes alone. It is also known that Soldier Boy has the ability to fry out the V from any Supe’s body. This could cause Homelander, with the help of Sister Sage, to create an antidote of sorts to cure the Supe Virus.
The solution to this problem could arrive with he cast of characters from Gen V who are yet to make an appearance in the show. Cate Dunlap and Samueal Riordan have already made an appearance in the show, while it can be presumed that Marie Moreau, Emma Meyer, and Jordan Li still remain incarcerated after their run-in with Homelander.
Marie has abilities that are almost the same as that of Victoria Nueman and could serve as an asset against Homelander and his supes, should they decide to wipe out the virus somehow, taking a second dose of V.
