However, the actor is very different from what he portrays on screen. The Boys star is a very jovial and chill guy in interviews and media interactions. Recently, he shared a story on Instagram about a fan complaining about a pressing issue of Spotify promising AI bands at a time when AI has become a threat to creativity.

AI has become a source of concern for artists around the world as it has become too powerful of a tool. Powerful entities can use AI in a way that goes against credibility and it has the power to take over someone’s efforts. One of the criteria of last year’s actor’s strikes was to not let AI take the place of artists or their likeness.

AI-generated/deepfake videos of celebrities have also been a huge problem for some years and now, songs have also become a target. A fan named Trevor Foley was deeply frustrated with Spotify’s algorithms of allegedly putting AI-generated country song covers and bands. He further alleges that these so-called fake songs/bands have got millions of streams, which is problematic.

Another fan named Justine Bateman blasted the popular music streaming service, alleging that greed and money are the contributing factors behind it. Foley wrote (via Bateman’s Instagram account),

Hey @Spotify, what the f**k are yall doing with adding a bunch of Ai country bands with covers of huge songs, bands with no social media links, and millions of streams, and then putting them on f**king playlists?

The Boys actor Antony Starr showed his support for the issue by sharing Bateman’s post on his Instagram story. Spotify allegedly profiting off of fake music is a huge problem and artists/fans should come together to battle these problematic acts that challenge the credibility of the art that hardworking people try to put out.

Antony Starr‘s Homelander is finally at the peak of his power and authority at the end of season 4 of The Boys. He is the one calling the shots, with America now being ruled by supes. However, the character also faces his past yet again in the surprising mid-credits scene featuring an intriguing cameo.

Spoilers Ahead for the Finale of The Boys Season 4

In the mid-credits scene, Homelander finds out about his father, Soldier Boy, being put into cryosleep since the end of season 3. In an interview with TVLine, Starr revealed that Homelander is conflicted about the whole thing and does not know how he feels about this revelation about his father who hated him. He stated that he does not know what the future holds for the two, just like his character. Starr said,

Personally, I didn’t want to take it further than, ‘Wow, what does that mean?’ It is loaded. It’s very full, but as to what it means, I don’t know. I still don’t know. Antony doesn’t know what that meant for the character, because I don’t think the character should know.

Considering the rivalry that the two had in season 3, it will be interesting how their dynamic evolves in season 5. It remains to be seen whether Soldier Boy sides with his son or The Boys amidst the totalitarian rule that Homelander is establishing.
