Since there’s a lot happening in The Boys, fans have a dark theory about Hughie that could be true. This was seen in the season finale of Game of Thrones but given how crazy The Boys is… it could actually work!
Hughie And Butcher Will Be The Boys‘ Jon Snow And Daenerys Targaryen!
In the end, when Daenerys Targaryen becomes the queen of ashes and a broken kingdom, Jon Snow kisses her on the lips while shoving a dagger in her ribs, killing her slowly. This was the grim ending that fans of Game of Thrones received when Season 8 ended.
Daenerys Targaryen becoming the Mad Queen was completely unprecedented and the anger from fans was clearly justified. Hence, the ending of Jon Snow killing the Dragon Queen didn’t work. However, the same cannot be said about The Boys.
Being a crazy show with an affinity for doing the unusual, fans have created a theory after watching Butcher’s (played by Karl Urban) craziness in the season finale of The Boys. This theory, is very similar to the ending of Game of Thrones, however, it makes complete sense given the history of the show!
Hughie Is Allegedly Going To Kill Butcher
Well, taking to Reddit, fans led a discussion on the season finale of the iconic show. With Butcher finally revealing his powers and ultimately killing Victoria Neuman in the process, Butcher has gone crazy.
Listening to what his dear pal Kessler says, Butcher is on his own way and the path doesn’t look so good. Taking to Reddit, fans theorized that William Butcher will probably kill Homelander in Episode 6 of the next season.
However, after Homelander is dead, Butcher will be the only one remaining who becomes the villain. Here’s what one of the fans had to say about the theory:
Hughie has a crisis of morality trying to convince himself that it was the tumor that made Butcher go crazy. Butcher does something else evil, maybe kills MM or someone, as Hughie is trying to convince everyone Butcher is okay now, Hughie shoots Butcher.
Thus, a similar situation between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen could be the bleak and brutal ending that fans of The Boys may get after Homelander is dead and William Butcher reigns.
It would truly be an iconic ending if a fight between Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Butcher were to happen after the dust has settled. However, this remains a mere theory and nothing can be confirmed or denied at this moment.
