Tite Kubo has always been very vividly imaginative about the way many of the characters in Bleach are. Their powers, their Bankai, and their visually stunning expressions all put together some of the best characters. While his series may not be on the top of the Big 3, it still stands to be a part of it. Moreover, villains like Ulquiorra, Yhwach, and others make it stand out.

However, the one villain who successfully stands as not just the best Bleach villain but also at the top among anime villains alone is Aizen. His skills and smarts make him a formidable foe who many cannot be able to fight against. Despite the amount of time the character has spent in the series, his Bankai is still a mystery and there may be a good reason for it.

Throughout the course of Bleach, Aizen’s Bankai has been a mystery no one has been able to uncover. Tite Kubo’s hand has been tight in hiding the power that the villain holds and perhaps the reason behind it is more than just the power it gives him. As proposed by a Reddit user, Aizen’s Bankai may be the ace up Tite Kubo’s sleeve.

According to the theorist, Aizen’s Bankai has always been at play, giving him the ability to go back in the past, specifically to the point where he first unleashed it. This would explain why he is always so aware of the events that are supposedly unforeseen. Everything goes according to his plan and his strategic foresight is exceptional.

Having the ability to go back in time again and again would give him the upper hand, one that would also help in hiding his Bankai from everyone else. Whenever he was to unleash it, he would simply be pulled back to perhaps another point in time where he was using his Bankai. In such a way, he alone would be able to view it and no one else.

Aizen’s Biggest Threat Would Lie in Urahara

Kisuke Urahara is by far one of the strongest characters in Bleach. His Zanpakuto, Benihime, is a force to be reconned with and as the former captain of Squad 12, he stands as someone who shouldn’t be messed with even by fault. Aizen has always held a dismay towards him and many might wonder where such distaste for one of the strong characters comes from.

Urahara may be the only character capable of holding his own against Aizen and his Bankai, justifying the former’s hatred. His wit alone can outshine that of the iconic villain but his Zanpakuto, both when utilizing its Shikai state and Bankai, Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame, can prove to be quite the problem for Aizen.

He is a tough opponent to have and Aizen might not stand a chance against him were his Bankai to be discovered. He can pose a threat to his plans and foresight, instead tampering with all that he has so carefully formulated.

Bleach is available to watch on Hulu.
