After dominating the PC gaming arena, Valorant is finally releasing or consoles. In the latest Summer Game Fest, Riot announced that this highly popular 5v5 first-person shooter would come to consoles.
Despite some serious efforts from Riot to give the gamers on both platforms the same vibe and feel, there are some differences in both versions. And at this point, one question arises in everyone’s mind: will the console version have crossplay?
Will Valorant’s Console Port Support Crossplay?
![Right now, the console version of Valorant doesn't feature crossplay.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/22170422/wfwwf-1024x576.png)
Recently, a Valorant fan has come up with a serious question that every fan is going to be asking very soon. As of now, the game is in a limited beta testing phase, and till now, the game doesn’t feature crossplay. However, there’s no specific date for the full launch of the game on consoles yet. But is there any chance that the console port might let players match up with PC players?
This fan also has the same demand as his friend, who plays the game on a PC, but sadly, he does not have a console.
He has also stated that other games like Fortnite, Overwatch, and Call of Duty have crossplay support. So, he thinks Riot should pull this off as well.

However, another fan has a simple answer to that question. According to him, “PC players would utterly dominate a crossplay lobby.” He has stated that PC players are more skilled than console players. Also, games like Fortnite and Overwatch have completely different mechanics as compared to Valorant. So, this fan thinks the Riot shooter will most likely never have crossplay.
Are Console Players Far Behind PC Players in Valorant?
![Valorant's console version has a focus mode.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/22170410/wfwefwef-1-1024x576.png)
Valorant is a game of supreme precision, super-fast reflexes, and deep game sense. Now, to implement the former two qualities, there’s no match for the keyboard-mouse combo. With a high-DPI mouse, you can execute swift flicks, which demand super-smooth sensitivity that a console controller can’t pull off.
For this reason, Riot has put a focus mode on the console, as this version doesn’t have an ADS. In consoles, hipfires are going to be extremely tough to control; that’s why this focus mode will enhance the smoothness of the crosshair.
Not only that, PC players have been playing the game for four years now, whereas console players just started a few weeks ago. So, it’s a no-brainer that PC players will have a huge edge over console players.
Also, console players are missing out on important features like remake and surrender. They don’t have Deathmatch either, which is extremely essential to sharpening their skills. However, all of them are going to return soon.
As of now, there’s no update from Riot as well about featuring crossplay in the console port of the game. Seeing the circumstances, it’s highly unlikely to see this feature in pretty soon. However, if things get evenly poised in the future, we might see console and PC players going head-to-head in Valorant.
What’s your opinion on this question? Will Riot ever bring crossplay to Valorant? Let us know in the comment section.
