Bob Odenkirk is set to return to the big screens with the sequel to his surprise hit Nobody from 2021, and fans couldn’t be more excited to have the Better Call Saul star back onscreen. Just like the first film, he will reportedly be reprising his iconic role of the mild-mannered family man cum former secret government assassin — a role he pulled off most impeccably.
Though this time, he has another special star power joining him to make this upcoming 2025-release-scheduled Nobody 2 absolutely explode: Sharon Stone. But while the second movie is yet to be shot and delivered to the big screens, fans are already so piqued with excitement and exhilaration that they have already started cooking for the third film in the series!
Bob Odenkirk is Returning with Sharon Stone in Nobody 2
After the surprise hit of the first film during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, which notably made an impressive $57.5 million worldwide on its budget of $16 million (via Box Office Mojo) and fared equally exceptionally among critics and general audiences, Universal Pictures is bringing Odenkirk back in the sequel of Nobody.
Bob Odenkirk will notably be reprising his role as Hutch Mansell, the gentle family man who also secretly sports the identity of a government assassin that not many know about. However, while he would presumably remain the same, some other things and elements of the masterpiece would be different for this sequel.
This is because Sharon Stone, the 66-year-old actress famous for making her breakthrough in the industry through the mystery/thriller Basic Instinct, has reportedly joined the ensemble. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the actress cum fashion icon will be donning the role of Odenkirk’s Mansell’s nemesis.
Directing this upcoming piece, which has been scheduled by Universal to have a theatrical release date of the 15th of August, 2025, as per The Hollywood Reporter, will be Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, who is famous for his horror pieces like May the Devil Take You. However, the plot details are being kept strictly under wraps.
Joining Tjahjanto in making the film are Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem, all of whom will be reportedly taming the screenplay of this piece. Producing this sequel are Kelly McCormick, David Leitch (via Universal-based 87North), Marc Provissiero (via Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment), and Braden Aftergood (via Eighty Two Films).
Obviously, all of these reports have fans of the original movie beyond exhilarated for the sequel. But while excitement is one thing, some fans have taken it to the next level and have already started cooking the plot material for the third movie in the film series, while others are busy celebrating Stone’s inclusion as a win-win situation.
Fans React to Sharon Stone’s Casting in Nobody 2
Ever since news broke out about Stone playing the villain in Nobody 2, fans can’t keep their calm. While a majority of others are really looking forward to the movie now, even more so after the Total Recall actress joined it, some others on X are sharing their respective perspective on how they want this film to unfold.

Judging from fans’ reactions, if the series of events continues this way, then not only might this upcoming sequel to the 2021 film result in another masterpiece, it could also lead to a third film getting greenlit — presumably with Cranston as the villain, as per fans’ request!
