It’s been over a month since Valorant went for the limited beta testing phase on consoles. PlayStation and Xbox fans have been waiting for long to dive into the battle arena of this Riot shooter. The wait might be coming to an end. Recently, credible leaker @eXtas1stv has shared that this 5v5 FPS title from Riot is going to be launched globally on consoles on July 26, 2024.

However, this is just a leak, and Riot is yet to announce the official release date of the game. Those who had already taken part in the beta test will be carrying forward their progress on the Battlepass, agents, and skins to the full game.

Recently, the console version of the game has been facing so many issues, like the Xbox players needing to restart the game and the console to start a match. Also, there are many features unavailable in the console version right now. So, now it’s up to Riot if they can fix all the holes in the ship and surface it on the ocean in this short period of time.

Riot wanted to make the game the same for both PCs and consoles. But it’s quite undeniable that PC players are far ahead of console players right now. Not only that, the console version of the game is missing out on a number of important features.

For example, the console port doesn’t have the remake or surrender option due to a UI bug. Every time after voting was done, the screen was frozen, and none of the keys would work anymore. Even the main menu would disappear. That’s why Riot had to remove this feature.

Besides this, an important game mode called Deathmatch is also unavailable right now. This mode is essential for practicing crosshair placement and developing game sense, which is badly needed for console players right now to reach the level of PC players.

Fans hope Riot swiftly fixes all these issues and makes the stage ready for a grand global launch of Valorant on consoles. Are you going to rock the game on your PlayStation or Xbox as well? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
