The Boys has never shied away from the gore and violent action sequences that may be too much for some people. The Amazon show has featured some wild and intense brawls between the Boys and members of the Seven over four seasons till now. The plane season in season 1, The women beating up Stormfront in season 2, and Soldier Boy and Butcher teaming up to fight Homelander are some of the best ones.

Antony Starr‘s Homelander is often compared to a bastardized version of Superman and has a similar look and powers to the iconic superhero. However, the DC hero’s fights in Man of Steel are more epic in scale and offer more variety to its action choreography compared to what Homelander gets to do in The Boys. Much of Homelander’s action is shooting lasers from his eyes and beating someone to a pulp.

On Instagram, one fan enokkan expressed his desire for the supe action in The Boys to match the incredible action in Man of Steel. Another fan lets_light_this_candle_eh commented “Budget probably ain’t big enough for stuff like this” pointing out how the DC films have a much bigger budget and can afford some epic-scale action.

pilques_ also wrote, “Agreed, is disappointing that the fights are never on a bigger scale, at most some tables are broken”. Although the action in The Boys is not as epic as the DC films, they are mich bloody and gory in the best possible way. Fans can watch Man of Steel on Max.

The Boys recently ended its fourth season and the final season is in the works. It will be the end of the road for the mothership series and the cast who have been together for 6-7 years. In an interview with IGN, Antony Starr revealed that he does not want to think about the end just yet and wants to make the most of the time they have currently.

The actor stated that if he stopped to think about it, it would be really sad that the show is ending after one more season. The cast has been on a wild ride together and it will be a bittersweet thing to hang up the spandex after the final season. The Banshee star said,

Oh, I can’t think of that yet. I can’t go there yet because, first of all, we’ve got a long way to go, and I want to make the most of it and enjoy it. I’m enjoying what’s happening with the show at the moment. If I stop to think about it, it’ll be really sad. It’s been such a ride together with this group of people that it’ll be very sad. It’ll be a sad day to hang up the spandex.

The ending of the fourth season has teased an epic final season where anti-Homelander characters will have a hard time fighting to survive. Season 5 will also be the ultimate showdown between Butcher and Homelander and it remains to be seen who emerges victorious in the future. All four seasons of The Boys are streaming on Prime Video.
