The 7 Days to Die console release for the stable build is approaching, but according to players, there’s a huge problem that The Fun Pimps need to take a look at before dropping it—the endgame, or the lack of it.

One Reddit post has opened the floodgates, with people complaining about the lackluster 7 Days to Die endgame. Is the game going to hold up on release, when people find out there’s nothing to do later on in the game?

Endgame can make or break the longevity of your game. If people have nothing to do, they’re simply not going to play it.

So, it’s worrying when people are starting to complain about 7 Days to Die‘s complete lack of endgame. If this truly is an issue, it’s only going to get highlighted more with the console release.

A Reddit post details the issues they have with how easy it is to get fully decked out in good gear and weaponry before stepping into the harder parts of the game. POIs supposedly have too much gear, and all of the zombies, based on previous complaints.

When you reach endgame that fast, and there is nothing to do, it sort of kills any excitement.

OP suggests adding another tier to gears and mods that only drop in the Wasteland, giving players incentive to go there. They also wish for some sort of endgame, plot-wise, to happen with the Bandits.

The game does feel like a sandbox-style endless survival horror, so the response to whether 7 Days to Die needs an endgame or not was quite varied.

One person felt like this wasn’t the type of game to accommodate requests like OP’s. People are supposed to play when a new update arrives and move on when they’ve had their fill.

On the other end, OP’s argument completely resonated with some people.

A reply talked about feeling like all the leveling, crafting, and grinding felt completely pointless by the end, as there was nothing to do.

The replied drew up a long list of suggestions for what to do in endgame that The Fun Pimps can hopefully incorporate during the upcoming updates.

A few players were neither here nor there, agreeing with a few of OP’s statements but not all.

This player in particular felt that the “abundance of loot” issue was very much random, as you could find a god-tier weapon but be stuck as you’re not able to find some progress-essential items anywhere.

Everyone’s experience of 7 Days to Die seems to vary by a lot, depending on how lucky you are and your knowledge of the game. Do you think it needs an endgame, or are you fine with the way it is right now? Let us know in the comments below!
