F.R.I.E.N.D.S, a show about six friends living through the highs and low of Manhattan, has created a certain debate on the internet. With some hailing Matt LeBlanc’s comedy as one of the finest, others disagree that the show is simply overrated.
Overrated or not, we’ve all got to agree that the 1994 American sitcom changed the rom-com industry and television shows for good. Being an iconic sitcom that is still one of the most watched shows to this day, F.R.I.E.N.D.S was simply awesome.
The One Where With LeBlanc And Matthew Perry
Shows in the 90s often ran into the problem of not having enough budget or spending too much. To recover that money, the series used to have a minimal episode with not many locations and a simple premise.
For Breaking Bad, it was Season 3 Episode 10 titled “Fly” wherein Walter White spends the entire episode trying to get a fly out of his lab. Although they turned it around with Walter White having a little existential crisis, the episode was, low-budget.
For F.R.I.E.N.D.S., it was Season 3 Episode 2 titled “The One Where No One’s Ready”. The entire episode is shot in Monica’s apartment as Ross tries to get everyone ready for an evening function.
In the episode, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc enter a hilarious banter in which LeBlanc’s Joey Tribbiani wears everything that Chandler Bing owns (without underwear).
The episode was received with applause and great reviews and is often quoted to this day. Taking to Reddit, fans discussed which episode they would show to people who haven’t seen F.R.I.E.N.D.S. to convince them to watch the show, The One Where No One’s Ready was quite a popular answer.
If you had to convince people “Friends” are worth watching by showing them just one episode, which one would you choose?

In the episode, Matt LeBlanc’s iconic impression of Chandler Bing with “Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?” was iconic to witness and Joey Tribbiani doing lunges in Chandler Bing’s clothes received laughter from the audience around the world.
However, Joey and Chandler’s fighting came at a personal cost to Matt LeBlanc as the actor suffered an injury while shooting this episode! This injury was later written into the show in quite a hilarious manner.
The One Where Matt LeBlanc Got Hurt
While tackling for the chair, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry lunge forward to sit in the comfortable chair. However, LeBlanc wins it as he dives headfirst onto the seat. However, he also dislocated his shoulder during the move.
The cut was kept in the television show but production was halted temporarily. When LeBlanc had healed enough, he wore a cast over his hand. This cast was actually used by the actor for his pain.
However, in the show, it was written with Joey Tribbiane injuring himself while jumping on the bed! This just goes on to show how well the producers knew about their characters and what they would do even if it’s off-screen.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. ran for 10 seasons before airing its final episode in 2004. The iconic show received a rating of 8.9/10 on IMDB and a high of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. With 10 seasons to its name, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
