The highly anticipated stable 1.0 release of 7 Days to Die is set to hit consoles very soon, bringing the game to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
This upgraded version promises a ton of new features and improvements. With a flood of new and returning players ready to dive into the post-apocalyptic survival game, seasoned PC players have some words of wisdom to share, and they don’t feel very hopeful.
Are People Ready for the 7 Days to Die Console Release?
On Reddit, a long-time PC player for the game posted a warning for all the incoming console players that would be experiencing the 1.0 release for the first time.
You can hope for the best but should expect the worst from the developers.
One thing us PC guys learned with the fun pimps.. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

Along with the post was a picture suggesting the new release might run sluggishly, probably at a solid 30fps.
In a sadly hilarious twist, for many console players, even this level of performance would be a significant improvement.
One console player responded with a mix of sarcasm and relief, enthusiastically asking if they could finally experience 30FPS.

The early access version of the game performs abominably even on current-gen consoles, so even the slightest margin of improvement would be a big win.
They continued to explain that while PC players struggle with issues like vehicles encountering sudden obstacles, console players have endured much worse. They had issues where minibikes would get stuck for almost half a minute at a chunk edge, waiting for the ground and vegetation to render.
Keeping the context in mind, 30FPS without getting constantly stopped by phantom objects would be a luxury for console players.
7 Days to Die PS5 and Xbox Players Have Had It Worse
The criticism didn’t stop there, as the post became a gateway for more people to post their grievances.
Another user pointed out how terrible the 7 Days to Die Xbox and PS5 versions were.

Aiming supposedly feels terrible on the console, as there’s no smooth aiming mechanic. Any small adjustment will make you overshoot, and you’re left to strafing left and right like crazy just trying to land a proper shot.
A reply echoes the comment’s complaints while adding the surplus of audio issues and item bugs to the list.

Some players find humor in the situation, although this joke stings more than it makes you laugh.
One person says that this isn’t truly a 1.0 release but more like the Alpha 22 release (the final early access build was Alpha 21).
