The San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) continues to be the epicenter of the subculture. This year, the comic-con has fans already buzzing about the classic game, Legacy of Kain. During the event, there were subtle hints at a possible Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II remasters.
The excitement behind the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered branding seen at SDCC can be felt in the air, as fans unite to say that their dreams will come true. The community behind these games is huge and the remaster of the classic seems inevitable.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remaster Spotted
A user on ResetEra spotted a statue of characters Raziel and Kain displayed at SDCC and the placard on which front is written, Soul Reaver: I & II Remastered, along with a QR code with the Dark Horse Comics logo.
This has only sparked fan hopes for the remaster they have been desiring for ages. The classic action-adventure video game was developed by Crystal Dynamics for PS1 and Windows back in 1999 and it reached the Dreamcast in 2000.
Soul Reaver II is the direct sequel 1500 years after the first game, this classic is a journey of the vampire-turned-wraith Raziel, lieutenant to the vampire lord Kain.
The last game in the franchise Defiance, was released in 2003 for PS2, PC, and the original Xbox. Two decades later, there is still hope for the franchise. Back in October 2022, Crystal Dynamics shared a survey with fans if they would want a new game in the franchise.
While the Embracer Group (owner of Crystal Dynamics) didn’t reveal the official result, the company said that there might be a new game in development.

Another fan is skeptical a bit and thinking that the name was just that of the figures and not true game remasters.
A player who never got to dip his hands in the world of Nosgoth has shared their excitement by saying that he has always heard great things about the game and that they will finally try it out.
Yessssss. I missed out on this one back in the day.
