However, recently the 55-year-old diva came under fire for her latest Instagram post, sparking controversy for badly editing her photo to look more youthful. As a netizen accused her of setting unrealistic beauty standards, fans followed through, raising important questions about authenticity in the digital age.

Dressed in a white swimsuit, Lopez looked as beautiful as ever. Yet, soon after posting the photo, an Instagram user @goob_u2, pointed out that the photo she had posted with the caption ‘This Is Me…Now’, was actually badly and visibly edited.

State the social media user after pointing out Lopez’s badly botched editing skills which made a towel rod and cabinet behind her look crooked. He then pointed out another photo of hers, which surely looked edited, making a door behind her look crooked and bent.

The craziest thing is it’s like not that expensive or hard to edit these pictures the right way. And you got all these celebrities with endless money… If you’re gonna be a fake hold a** your fakey!

Stated the social media user as the actress disabled the comment section on her Instagram account soon afterwards. As the post criticizing Jennifer Lopez for editing her photos went viral, fans were quick to comment and criticize the star for setting unrealistic beauty standards.

Jennifer Lopez as a public figure in the showbiz certainly must feel a lot of pressure to always look her best at all times. Yet, at the same time we are all humans, and looking anything less than perfect is perfectly normal, whether you are a celebrity or not. While certain toxic fans would love to criticize celebrities even then, such a backlash seems manifold better than being accused of editing.
