The latest episodes of the One Piece anime shows the Straw Hats entering the Egghead Island arc. Their primary goal is to save Dr. Vegapunk, but the struggle will be anything but easy. But there is one episode that every One Piece fan is dying to watch because of the overarching villain of the franchise, Imu.
Imu’s identity has been artfully hidden by Eiichiro Oda so far, but not for long because episode 1119 will reveal the most important aspect of their identity. In fact, fans have begun waiting for the episode months before its air date.
Episode 1119 Will Feature the Biggest One Piece Reveal
Episode 1119 of One Piece will be a milestone for the anime because it will adapt chapters 1085/1086 of the manga (approximately). For the first time, Imu’s voice will be revealed, something that was not possible in the manga. In this episode, Imu’s voice actor will debut, and fans will finally find out if Imu is a male or female.
Eiichiro Oda has done a fantastic job of hiding Imu’s identity, to the point that fans have no idea if Imu is a male or female, making the upcoming reveal extremely exciting. Fans have articulated numerous theories trying to guess their age, but none of them are confirmed. There is no solid evidence to back up the claims.
Most of the time, Imu is referred to as ‘Imu-sama’ in the story. ‘Sama’ is a gender-neutral term that is used to refer to a respectable individual, so the confusion remained. Of course, Imu’s usage of pronouns was of no help either. Imu uses ‘mu’ for themself, which is borrowed from their name, and ‘nushia’ for others.
For the first time, Imu’s gender will be confirmed as chapter 1086 will feature Imu directly ordering the Five Elders to commit another heinous crime. Other than Imu’s gender reveal, episode 1119 will also show the cruel nature of the villain.
The Plot of Episode 1119 of One Piece
Episode 1119 of One Piece might adapt chapter 1086 of the manga. In the episode, the Five Elders would discuss what to do with Sabo since he is aware of the secret behind the Empty Throne. Imu would contact the Elders to tell them that it is the ripe time to awaken one of Vegapunk’s inventions, the Mother Flame.
While the Gorosei discuss the best area to test out the weapon, Imu abruptly stops them. He orders that the testing site would be the Lulusia Kingdom, regardless of its inhabitants. This might also be the first episode in which the names and titles of the Gorosei would be revealed.
The scene would then shift to the present to show Ivankov and Dragon’s disgust at the World Government’s decision. Sabo, Ivankov, and Dragon then discuss the callous destruction of a whole kingdom and its population. They also begin suspecting if the object Sabo saw flying over the clouds was actually a weapon.
