The First Descendant is in a very unexpected competition with a popular PlayStation exclusive, and no, it’s not related to the looter shooter genre.
Nexon’s new game has entered the race against Stellar Blade for some of the most eye-catching, skin-baring outfits for their female characters. It’s not something most people expected would even happen, but judging from the reception, people aren’t upset at this development.
The First Descendant to Drop Racy Skin for Valby
On its official X/Twitter account, Nexon’s game announced that the Week 5 update is coming a day earlier, but that’s not all.
The player base will finally be able to access the Ultimate Valby skin, and if you’ve taken a look at it, you’ll know why there’s so much hype around it.

Up until now, The First Descendant Skins haven’t been nearly as revealing as this, nor has it marketed itself as something to expect.
The Ultimate Valby skin might be a change in direction for the game, though, depending on how it performs.

The only surprise here would be if the studio developed equally sensual skins for its male characters.
Stellar Blade Has Some Major Competition
Stellar Blade built a reputation around its openly adult and sensual character skins. Consequently, the game has been the subject of substantial controversy, particularly around the portrayal of Eve and the alleged censorship of her clothes.
While the PlayStation exclusive has made its mark by embracing this overtly sensual aesthetic, Nexon seems to be taking a more subtle and gradual approach.
The Ultimate Valby skin seems like the start of something more, and people are not turned off by it.

Although people outside the fandom of both games seem to already throw the two player bases into the same lot, at the end of the day, companies will go where the money is, and skins like these are easy money printers.
