Deadpool & Wolverine are having a collaboration with the franchise, but the Fortnite skins leak has shown that only half the duo is making it.

Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey has reported an exciting collaboration between Deadpool, Wolverine, and the franchise in celebration of the recent movie release. It’ll be coming to the base game and the LEGO version.

According to the leak, the collaboration pack will feature various goodies associated with both characters for the base game, including their outfits.

However, there’s a catch: in LEGO, while Wolverine‘s outfit will be included, Deadpool‘s won’t make an appearance.

People are excited about Wolverine’s inclusion, but Deadpool‘s absence has made people angry, calling it a missed opportunity.

The reaction is quite heated, and people aren’t hesitant to let the company know how they feel about the whole situation. However, there might be a deeper reason to this exclusion, and if it’s true, it can’t be helped.

At least both skins are available in the base game, if you’re looking for a silver lining.

People speculate that the reason behind this decision might be because of how R-rated the Deadpool franchise is in general, which heavily contrasts with LEGO’s younger audience.

This might have led to the exclusion of the Deadpool skin from the LEGO-themed game, even though both superhero skins are available in the standard Fortnite edition.

At least, that’s what people initially thought. But it turns out, LEGO included Deadpool in a set from 2012. It also released two San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Deadpool figures in 2017 and 2018. So, why the hesitance now?

People find the exclusion odd. If enough people make noise about it, perhaps Epic Games might state the silent exclusion.

The collaboration will drop in the Item Shop on 26 July 2024 at 8 PM ET. Each skin, which comes with a backbling, pickaxe, and wrap, will cost 2,000 V-Bucks. Each instrument costs 1000 V-Bucks, and the whole bundle is 3,500 V-Bucks.
