The studio is eager to make the game much more immersive for the community, but players feel like there are some small details, such as the Armor Decay System for players and enemies, that Arrowhead has overlooked.

This small detail will improve the overall gaming experience, as the game will feel much more realistic. Players have also suggested that Arrowhead should add SEAF allies on planets so that the game feels much more alive.

The Helldivers 2 Community Wants Arrowhead To Add An Armor Decay System

A Helldivers 2 player has pointed out on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit that players’ armor should have some sort of decay in the form of scratches and indents when they are flown across the map, adding that the damage should be more for light armor and less for heavy armor.

A player suggested that the same should be applied to enemies, as their armor should eventually wear out even with non-penetrating ammo, as this visible damage would make the game much more realistic. Obviously, a non-penetrating bullet cannot rip apart an armored enemy, but there should be some visible damage to their armor.

In the past, players have asked Arrowhead Game Studios to rework the way armors work in the game, as heavy armor needs a buff, particularly a reduction in flinch and ragdoll, as the game gets frustrating when enemies fire explosive ammo.

The Helldivers 2 community feels that the game could be much more realistic if Arrowhead Game Studios added community-driven planetary defense mechanisms. As a community, players could donate requisition points to set up defense systems on planets.

Plus, the studio could add SEAF allies on Super Earth controlled planets to make the game much more immersive and realistic. Players can hope to see such changes in the future, as Arrowhead loves to take feedback from the community to improve the game.

Helldivers 2 was losing its fanbase at an alarming rate as many players complained that the game became boring and dull. However, the Escalation of Freedom update is expected to bring a lot of new content to the game.

Among many new changes, the Escalation of Freedom update, which rolls out on August 6th, also adds new enemies, including the Impaler, Spore Charger, Terminid Alpha Commander, and Rocket Tank. Arrowhead has also made some changes in terms of gameplay, finally addressing the problem of grief kicking in the game.
