While Marvel’s kingdom of superheroes is undeniably redoubtable, its coterie of villains is no less, especially when you add names like Kang and Doctor Doom to the mix.

But if a time-traveling deviant and a notorious sorcerer – two of the most vicious antiheroes, at that – were to go against each other, who do you think would emerge victorious? Kang the Conqueror – who up until last year was played by Jonathan Majors – or Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom (we’re still getting used to that one)?

A Quick Look Into Their Powers & Abilities

Both Nathaniel Richards and Victor Von Doom are a pair of perhaps the most unhinged and stupendously powerful supervillains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not to mention, both are evil geniuses with an unquenchable lust for power and the perennial potential of science at their behest.

Kang the Conqueror – who was portrayed by Creed III star Jonathan Majors before Marvel cut ties with the actor – is a tremendous menace, if the Avengers ever saw one. With his neuro-kinetic armor along with the terrifying ability to manipulate time and technology, Kang is arguably a force to be reckoned with.

Then there’s Doctor Doom, who will be depicted by Robert Downey Jr. in two of the studio’s forthcoming projects, Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars. Not only does he have high-tech weaponry and superhuman abilities, but he also happens to be a master of dark magic. So, it’s safe to say that he’d be a tough opponent to beat.

Kang vs Doctor Doom – Who Beats Whom?

If the two were to go against each other, it’s not much of a stretch to assume that Kang would lose to Doctor Doom. While the Scarlet Centurion does have an edge over Doom thanks to his variants, the latter is, simply put, more powerful.

Sure, Kang has the perk of energy projection and all kinds of futuristic tech-riddled powers but does he pack a mean punch like Doom, who happens to be a skilled combatant as well? Not to mention, combat isn’t the only area where Doom has an edge over him.

Unlike Kang, Doom has superhuman strength and a well of untapped dark magic just waiting to be put to use, AND he has the wicked ability to amalgamate sorcery and technology to inflict maximum damage on his adversary. Go figure.

That’s not to say that Kang wouldn’t put up one hell of a fight, just that he may not be the one to win.
