With the upcoming final season, fans are surely excited to see what’s in store for every character of the series, but they also have to prepare for the possible deaths of their favorite heroes and villains.

Karen Fukuhara Reveals Dream Death For Kimiko Miyashiro

In an interview with TV Guide during the San Diego Comic-Con, actress Karen Fukuhara responded to the question of what her dream death pitch for Kimiko Miyashiro in The Boys. At first, she was repulsed by the idea, blurting out:

We are not doing that girl, we are not doing that, because I feel like it’s going to happen if I say it.

She eventually came up with her own idea of her character’s death and of course, it has to be a meaningful one. She admitted to wanting a death like that of Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.

I will say I want like the Arya Stark moment you know when she defeats the White Walker and nobody expected that, so perhaps maybe Homelander can be taken out by Kimiko. I don’t know, that would be a good death, like if I’m going to take him out, I would be willing to die.

Fans would recall how Arya Stark used her stealth and agility to plunge the dagger through the Night King. No one expected that scene, let alone have the show’s most horrifying villain die at the hands of a young Stark girl.

Fukuhara is willing to let her character face death if it means she will be the one to kill Antony Starr’s Homelander. That sounds very heroic, indeed, but she needs to pitch that hard to series creator Eric Kripke for it to happen.

While speaking with Euphoria magazine, Fukuhara reflected on Kimiko Miyashiro’s journey in The Boys. She recalled how she “started off on the ground, barefoot, covered in dirt and crawling around” and now she has become a full-blown warrior “in fishnet jeans and a full black outfit.”

The actress also commended her onscreen persona for “still doing a lot of damage, still killing a lot of people.” Kimiko started in survival mode, but as the series progressed, so did the character’s growth.

Fukuhara noted how her development went from always being in fight-or-flight mode to finding what it means to be a human. “You also start to see her figuring out what it means to be a woman as well,” the actress added.

It’s understandable why she wants to have an ending like Arya Stark. The Game of Thrones figure is pretty much admired by fans for her courage and rebellious nature. She pushed the limits of what society expects from her, and Fukuhara wants the same to be done for Kimiko.

The Boys is streaming on Prime Video.
