Being a live-service title, Epic Games’ Fortnite pushes out loads of content regularly, at times teaming up with more popular franchises to bring new themed cosmetic content for its players. Back in Chapter 2, Season 4, the game collaborated with Marvel and brought one of the most iconic characters, Doctor Doom, to the game.
Recently, Marvel Studios chose to shock the entire audience at San Diego Comic-Con with the reveal that Robert Downey Jr. is set to return to the MCU as Doctor Doom. This has led to a massive surge in popularity for the character’s skin in the Battle Royale game, which some players still can’t understand the reason behind!
Victor von Doom Skin is Getting Popular in Fortnite Again
Pivoting from what once was Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the fifth major crossover film from Marvel will now be known as Avengers: Doomsday, with the major focus on classic villain Victor von Doom.
Since the reveal that RDJ is going to play Doom, the entire fanbase has been divided. However, Fortnite players can’t thank Epic Games enough, as they’ve already introduced a Doom skin in the game that’s being labeled sarcastically by gamers as the Robert Downey Jr Doom skin!

It’s incredible to see that the Battle Royale gamers are finally showing much-needed appreciation for the existing Doom skin in the game. However, players who haven’t caught up to Marvel’s surprising reveal are busy and left wondering what’s really going on and why the Reddit post is blowing up.

It’s great to see the new-found love for Doom, even though it doesn’t come due to the skin’s epiceness itself but the Marvel reveal. Considering the history between Marvel and Epic Games, we’re destined to see a new version of the Doom skin in the battle royale in the future. Let’s hope the collaboration carries this momentum and brings us more surprises.
Epic Games Might Be Already Working on A New Doom Skin
It’s going to be a long while before we get Avengers: Doomsday skins in Fortnite, but rumors are already swirling about a new variant of Doom skin being part of the upcoming season.
The information comes from reputable leaker Shiina, who reveals that the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass will bring players brand-new skin for Doctor Doom. The insider highlighted a new skin codenamed “AnglePatch” that was discovered by various leakers.
The unusual codename was also linked to an update in LEGO Fortnite. Alongside all that, the recent roadmap leak, which showed Doom, makes it all clear for a brand-new version of the character skin in the upcoming Marvel Season.
