Among many issues, one player has been so frustrated with a consistent bug to say that it is immersion-breaking. The upcoming patch will surely need to address these issues but that won’t happen quickly enough for many players as they vent their frustrations and concerns online.

Helldivers 2 is Plagued by the Spawn Distance Bugs

This has been one of the most persistent and frustrating issues in Helldivers 2. The spawn distance bug has been there with the players ever since the game’s launch. Players have been vocal about the problem several times in the past and they can’t wait any longer for the fix.

One player took to Reddit to share their experience saying that the bug is so bad it is immersion breaking.  They explained that after clearing an area of enemies, they turned around only to find over twenty new enemies had spawned in the exact spot they had just cleared.

They further added that a massive enemy push, including a tank, four walkers, five devastators, and about twenty bots, all spawning so close that the tank’s barrel was nearly touching the player’s head.

To players, this makes no sense, and are all hoping that the bug is fixed in the next patch. However, Arrowhead has diverged from smaller regular updates and the next patch is coming up only in the first week of August.

Players are dedicated to finding solutions for in-game problems and the spawn-distance issues that have plagued Helldivers 2 since the release is no exception.

One common suggestion is to revert to the patrol spawn mechanics from April, which ensured enemies spawned away from players. This change was initially effective, but recent updates seem to have reintroduced the problem.

Some players have taken the problem to Arrowhead saying that they lack quality control and are not dedicated enough and should hire a team that should be identifying and fixing issues on the go.

Additionally, a player has suggested that increasing the minimum spawn distance for enemies and teammates is a surefire way to ensure that the bug is fixed. This will make enemies spawn at a certain distance every time and will reduce unexpected and unwanted encounters.

While the issue persists, players won’t shy away from voicing their dissatisfaction. Nevertheless, Helldivers 2 remains a success for Sony and undoubtedly Arrowhead will certainly come forward with a fix.

There are a few ways fans already suggested that would prevent enemies from spawning in already cleared areas.
