The upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter from NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals, has been winning players. The game allows players to play as iconic Marvel heroes and villains and players have loved what they’ve seen so far.
While the game’s launch is still away, the beta tests have received positive response. This has made Overwatch fans think how the game could have been much more than it is currently if only Activision Blizzard had not killed it.
Overwatch Fans Are Still Mourning the Loss of Story Mode
Overwatch 2 is developed by Blizzard Entertainment and launched with story missions and were initially revealed during the sequel’s announcement. Fans were elated to know about this and expected for it to continue for long, taking the story of the hero shooter further.
However, soon after the developer decided to move against the planned Overwatch story mode and focus on the live game. It cancelled the story mode as it was forced to pull the “resources away from the live game” and players were disappointed.
One Overwatch 2 recently took to X/Twitter and said that Blizzard was doing very well with the story mode and praised the cutscenes. They said that instead of working on it and making it better it cancelled the story mode, calling it the “biggest bag fumbles in gaming history.”

It’s the main reason I stopped playing overwatch, I used to love the first one and was so excited when they said they were going to release a full story mode. Such a shame they got rid of it.
