Well, strong or not, there have been several instances in the manga and anime series where Monkey D. Dragon is showcased as a clever combatant and tactician. Moreover, his association with the ‘Will of D’ means that he will be one of those eternal enemies of the Celestial Dragons.
The World Is Not Ready To Witness Monkey D. Dragon in Action
Although the manga and anime have not featured the character’s one-on-one combat skills, it should be crystal clear that he is definitely not a weak man because the army’s members have taken down numerous powerful foes.
This idea is reinforced as Sabo, the Revolutionary Army’s second-in-command easily won the battle for the Flame-Flame Fruit in the Dressrosa Saga, and he has victories over names like Diamante and Jesus Burgess. Following this logic, Dragon would be much stronger than Luffy’s brother.
This notion was seen in the Loguetown arc when The Worst Criminal grabbed Smoker’s weapon to stop him from attacking his son. The Vice Admiral could not free his weapon or even counter.
Even though it is unclear if it was because of the plot or due to intimidation, in either instance, Dragon is portrayed as a powerful man who is even feared by the Marine Admirals.
