Following much anticipation, the studio revealed the film’s cast, including Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach alongside Kirby and Pascal. And the stars of the upcoming MCU film recently made a notable appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. Among the highlights was a touching moment where Kirby was seen offering heartfelt support to her co-star Pascal.

With their recent presence at the San Diego Comic-Con, Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby have dazzled fans, reinforcing the excitement for their roles as Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the upcoming MCU film.
As the cast of the film joined the festive event, both Pascal and Vanessa Kirby appeared to have become good friends. Their chemistry was evident as they appeared comfortable and friendly with each other throughout the event.
However, the standout moment was when Kirby provided heartfelt support to his co-star when he seemingly started feeling anxious. Pascal has previously spoken about his anxiety and how certain techniques help him manage it.
Fans were moved by how Kirby promptly offered her support, taking Pascal’s hand and providing comfort when he seemed uneasy. Fans acknowledged the same as they reacted to the brief clip from the event on Instagram.
“Apparently Pedro suffers from massive anxiety,” one user said before adding, “You can tell he needed support and she was there to help him.” Fans also appreciated his co-stars’ support for him and being there when he needed it.

Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby Embrace Newcomer Status in the MCU
During their appearance at the SDCC, the cast of the highly anticipated MCU film also reflected on being the newcomers to the superhero franchise. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who is set to embody The Thing in the movie, shared a piece of advice that he received from Mark Ruffalo.
“I got a very nice text from Mark Ruffalo,” he said, as per People, before adding, “To just kind of demystify the process of motion capture, something I’ve never done before.”
Ruffalo, known for his role as Hulk, has extensive experience with motion capture through his MCU journey. However, as for Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal, the duo is yet to receive any significant advice before joining the franchise.
“We’re the newbies,” The Crown actress said as she suggested that she might seek guidance from her old friend Sebastian Stan. Pascal echoed this sentiment, noting, “We’re the newbies and we’re in the newbie process,” as he shared their excitement to begin filming.
The Last of Us star also shared an image with the cast on his Instagram along with a picture of the film’s director Matt Shakman, who previously directed the Disney+ series WandaVision.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to release on July 25, 2025.
