Speaking with IGN, Harrison Ford revealed that he actually expected his version of the character to be green, and not red. However, once the interviewer pointed out that there was already a green Hulk, Ford realized that nothing could be done, but the hilarious interaction might have opened the doors to some interesting speculations about who could make their way into the Sacred Timeline from the multiverse.

After Star Wars and Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford‘s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe has made him more of an icon among nerds. However, it came as a surprise to the Empire Strikes Back alum that his version of the Hulk was actually Red, not Green. Speaking with IGN, the actor revealed:

Well, I had no idea I was going to be red. It’s not my color.

Given a choice, the actor said that he would prefer Green, which was already allotted to Tatiana Maslany‘s She-Hulk and Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk. However, Harrison Ford can play another character with a green complexion if the actor is so inclined, given that the MCU is capitalizing on the multiverse for the foreseeable future.

Harrison Ford could make an amazing Maestro

Maestro is one of the most dangerous villains in the Marvel Multiverse, combining the strength and abilities of the Hulk with the nefarious intelligence of a twisted and horrifying Bruce Banner. Should Harrison Ford still be interested in playing a green Hulk, it would make perfect sense for the actor to portray Maestro, as a multiversal variant of Bruce Banner.

Given that there have been rumors of a World War Hulk film in the works, Maestro would make the perfect villain for someone like Thunderbolt Ross or even She-Hulk to fight against. As Hulk cannot lead his own film unless Disney splits with Universal, the film would require a Hulk-adjacent hero to be the protagonist.

This honor could fall to a slew of characters such as Rick Jones, Doc Samson, or even Skaar, who is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Maestro could also appear as the ‘Hulk’ in the rumored Wolverine vs Hulk film allegedly in development over at Marvel.
