Valorant has been dominating the PC circuit for over a year now. This 5v5 shooter from Riot Games has amassed a huge player base since its launch. However, then came the Summer Game Fest, when the game got its place on consoles.
After a turbulent limited beta phase, the game is now available on consoles from July 16, 2024, through an open beta phase. Even after that, fans think the game runs better on the PlayStation 5 rather than on the Xbox Series X.

Not only that, this PvP first-person shooter reminds him about a lot of older FPS titles, and as of now he is loving the game a lot.
There are a lot of opinions regarding this post. One fan has stated that, as the game’s mechanics and gameplay are based on Counter-Strike, that’s why this Riot shooter reminds everyone about the classic FPS titles. This game has the freshness of a new character, despite keeping the mechanics intact.

The controls of the game on PS5 are very good, according to another fan. This is probably the tightest most responsive at 60Hz this fan has ever played.

Valorant at 60Hz feels really great. According to this fan, most games run at 120 FPS and feel great. For example, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is great at 120 Hz but not at 60Hz.

On the other hand, this Riot shooter is great at 60 FPS on the PlayStation. This is because the game has a much higher server tick rate than Call of Duty; that’s why it’s way more responsive on the PS5.

As the game is available through an open beta, players don’t need codes anymore to play the game. Despite being called an open beta phase, However, the game is not so open. Because the game was supposed to be launched globally, but right now it is available only in the same locations as those in the limited beta phase: USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil.
Talking about the console version, if you have a PlayStation, then you can enjoy the game with your friend who has an Xbox. That means the game supports crossplay on consoles. However, there’s no way you can play it with a PC player as there is no console-PC crossplay supported.
PC players right now are of no match as compared to the console players. To succeed in these kinds of games, you need to have extreme precision. With a mouse and keyboard, this aspect can be achieved easily, which the console controllers fail to pull off. That’s why there is no PC crossplay.
